Ravenwood, Mo., Sept. 30.-- Edwin Alden, seventy-three years old, former postmaster of Grant City, but who for the last twelve years has been this town's leading druggists [sic], died here last night from the effects of a stroke of paralysis he suffered about a week ago. Short services will be held here tomorrow at the family home, conducted by the Rev. J. D. Randolph, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, of Maryville.
The body will be taken to Grant City and the funeral will be held Wednesday from the Presbyterian church there, the Rev. A. C. Seelig officiating. Mr. Alden is survived by the widow and five children, H. J. Alden, Elmo, Mrs. Lucy C. Tomdlin, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. A. D. Stewart, Goodland, Kan., and Maggie and Helen, at home.
